Ray Jackson Wiradjuri Elder is hosting a workshop on how non-Indigenous activists can be better allies to Indigenous activists and Indigenous struggle.
4:00 PM Citizens of Language
‘a poet will never accept a state and a state will never accept a poet. We’re even. Between the politic and the citizens of language there is a war.’Helen Cixous (Creating a safe space to come together and write with other humans interested in the art of expression through different word crafts – poetry, hip hop, song lyrics, narrative or whatever. These sessions begin with just sitting around writing in nice company, maybe some activities to get it flowing if that’s what peeps are up for, and then end with an open mic for sharing whatever we got. Facilitated by spoken word and hip hop lovers tom (citizen tom) and zoe (lady z).

Performances by Lady Z, excerpts from the Bakery and Pete and open space for you!
